Giovanni Bedeschi

Giovanni Bedeschi is the founder and owner of Bedeschifilm. Born in 1961, Giovanni graduated from Istituto d’Arte Beato Angelico art school in Milan. In 1980 he started his career in advertising working for various agencies in Milan like Ata, Bates and Mc Cann.In 1991 he become Associate Creative Director in Saatchi&Saatchi and that same year he directed his first commercial for Neutro Roberts, chosen by Paul Arden for the Cannes New Talent Showcase that year. In 1992 he started his career as director in NPA then in New Partner and finally in BBE Politecne. In 1996 he started free lancing, working for clients like: Bayer, Barilla, Binda. Breil, Lovable, Peroni, Sector, Tissot, Valtur and Wyeth. At the same time he directed videoclips for leading artists such as Jovanotti, Baccini and Raf. Abroad he directed several commercials for countries like Mexico, the Middle East, Russia and the US. In April 2002, Giovanni opened his own production company Bedeschifilm. In Italy Giovanni has won many awards including Targa d’Oro for the institutional film for the 2006 Turin Winter Olympics, the Art Directors’ Club, Key Award and in the US he has won the prestigious Addy Award for Corona Beer commercial. In 2014 with his production company he won several Cannes Lions awards. Giovanni is a fellow lecturer at Milan Brera Academy of Arts where he holds regular lectures for post graduate students specializing in film direction. He is currently working on his first feature film Pane dal Cielo “ (“Bread from the sky” ) on the Milan homeless that is expected to be distributed in the main independent film theatres throughout Italy. Giovanni is very dedicated to directing both abroad and for the Italian market.
